With photojournalist Patrick Schneider’s departure from The Charlotte Observer in recent days for “altering” a news photograph by toning the color of the sky, and el Nuevo Herald’s complete fabrication of a picture by combining two separate images to illustrate an anti-Castro story, photojournalism ethics is once again dragged into the spotlight and is very much a hot topic of discussion in newsrooms and online.
