St. Petersburg Times Capital Bureau Chief Lucy Morgan, a Pulitzer Prize winner and 40-year veteran of Florida journalism, will retire by the end of the year, her newspaper said in a lengthy profile.
Mrs. Morgan, along with reporter Jack Reed, won the Pulitzer in 1985 for their investigation of the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. She was Pulitzer Prize finalist in 1982 for exposing a drug-smuggling ring.
