New Web Site to Monitor Right Wing Media

StaffNews

This should be fun to watch. Former conservative media hit man David Brock, now a liberal and author of “Blinded by the Right” is setting up a web site to monitor conservatives such as Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly to make sure they are telling the truth.

The New York Times says he has $2 million in funding from wealthy liberals and half a dozen researchers, two assigned exclusively to Limbaugh.

“The right wing in this country has dominated the debate over liberal bias,” Brock says in the NYT story. “By dominating that debate, my belief is they’ve moved the media itself to the right and therefore they’ve moved American politics to the right.”

“I wanted to create an institution to combat what they’re doing,” the Times says he “added” – thus violating a basic rule of journalism that says there is only one word to use when you are saying that someone said something and that word is “said”.

If you google David Brock, you’ll find lots of reading from all over the political compass. You can find Brock’s new web site Media Matters for America at http://mediamatters.org.
