No, You Can't Say That

StaffNews

Probably every newspaper has a bad word list – those words that the copy editors won’t let you sneak into the paper.

The NFL has a list too. It is 1,121 words (or phrases) long. These are the words they will not let you put on a personalized jersey at the NFL Shop.

There are the predictable ones that start with “F” and “P” and “C”, but there are others that you wouldn’t necessarily expect to make the list.

For example, you can’t put “JESUS CHRIST” on an NFL jersey. You can’t even tell people you “GOT JESUS.” On the other hand, you can’t tell them you are the “DEVIL” or “SATAN” either.

You can’t tell people you read “PENTHOUSE” or “PLAYBOY.” You can’t be “NEON DEON” and you can’t tell people to “GO TO HELL.”

If you need a refresher on what not to say, or just want to read the list, click here. Thanks to Outsports.com for the list and the Wonkette for mentioning it.
