“It’s really a lot easier than you think,” Tim Madigan, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, quotes Hersh. “You read before you write, and not many reporters do. If you do a lot of work, if you read a lot, you get stuff. People in public life who interface with reporters a lot, they like to talk to people who can tell them something they didn’t know.”
